Damaged 2 by H.M. Ward

Damaged 2 (Damaged, #2)

Home isn't supposed to be dangerous, but for Sidney it is. Returning home means that she has to face her past. It's not just the man who hurt Sidney that makes it horrible, but the family that didn't believe her. They were dead to her, but now that her mom is really dying things seem different. It's a chance to set things right.

What Sidney doesn't realize is that she's dragging Peter into a collision course with his past. Peter must deal with the demons haunting him if he wants to move forward with Sidney. He's willing to give up everything for her, even wade deeper into his past life to help her move forward. But, Peter isn't sure if he can get over what happened to him in New York.

From the first page of Damaged, I was captivated in the story of Peter and Sidney.  At the end of the book, I was depressed because I wanted more!  H.M. Ward did not disappoint in Damaged 2!  The transition from the end of the first book was seamless and I was immediately captivated. Peter has resigned his position as a professor at the college that Sidney attends because he cannot deny his feelings for her any longer. One would think that happily ever after would be right around the corner. Think again!

Peter's past is revealed to Sidney while she is dealing with her own personal struggles, and they both now must deal with the repercussions. They must each face their own demons before their relationship can move forward.

I read this book in one sitting. The storyline is so riveting that I just couldn't put it down!  Revealing Peter's past has opened up new storylines for characters in H.M.Ward's The Arrangement series which will be my next read!  -Kelly
