Hot, Hot, Hot, and.... Totally Hot!!
Greg Cage is alpha male to the extreme and I, for one, Loved. Every. Single. Second. Wow! - is all I can say about him. Hot, pierced, in control, out of control, dominant, sweet, and NAUGHTY!! I didn't see this side of him coming. In book 1 he seemed so much a caretaker, protector, and everyone's big brother, I was a bit surprised at this other side of him. Maybe I was so focused on Axel and Izzy's story that I missed the signs. But, anyway, I loved, loved, loved him!
Even as alpha as he is, when he needed to, he was able to step back and let Melissa work through some things alone. You could see how hard it was for him not to jump in and try to fix it. I just loved watching him fall for Melissa.
And Melissa - Strong, sassy, full of attitude but still somehow sweet. She couldn't have been more perfect for him. The sexual connection was immediate, the emotional one so strong they couldn't deny it was real and then to find out their past connection tied it all together was heartbreaking and perfect all at once.
The scenes with her nephew were laugh out loud funny, as well as, at times tear jerking. And seriously, could Sway be any funnier?!!
The crossover with the breakneck series was perfect. When I saw teasers about that before the release, I wasn't sure how I would feel with these two characters connecting, but it couldn't have been more fluid and logical within the story. So well done!
So much going on with my emotions the entire time I was reading- Laughing, crying, fanning myself as the pages burned up in front of me. Loved it!! Great addition to the Corps Security Series!!!
