Review:
When I signed up to receive the ARC of this book and read in the synopsis that it dealt with human trafficking, I thought to myself, "Oh boy. I don't know if this is exactly my cup of tea." BUT....the amazing cover immediately caught my attention and I decided to give it a shot. I am so glad that I did!!
WOW!! I was NOT disappointed! DL Roan definitely delivered an action-packed, sit on the edge of your seat, steamy story! I literally could not put my kindle down as I got into the storyline. The chemistry between Thalia and Grant is palpable from the very beginning. I seriously don't even have enough words to describe my emotions as I read this book. The twists and turns in the storyline were so believable and made for such an emotional, heart-pounding out of your chest read! I just LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! Thank you, THANK YOU DL Roan for an amazing read that I will never forget!
"Love, as it turned out, is a more fickle bitch than fate. It haunts your dreams and plays games with your mind, using slight of hand tricks to make you see the person you love in everything; on every crowded street, in every passing car, beside you in your empty bed. It was enough to make him go mad until he simply couldn't take it..." - Kelly

About the Author:
D.L. Roan lives and writes in her "beautifully wild and southern" home state of Florida with her "perfectly flawed hero" husband and two 80lb lap dogs.
Completely addicted to the written word, she's had a brood of characters residing inside her imagination for as long as she could remember. Being able to bring them to life and let them out to play has been a life's dream fulfilled.
Romance has always been her favored genre. While erotica is her favored spicy flavor, she also enjoys paranormal fantasy and has been known to stalk the work of certain historical romance writers.
In addition to exorcizing her characters' lusts, D.L. enjoys scuba diving, fishing, and sitting by a bonfire on a starry night. She loves to hear from her fans so check her out on Facebook or send her a tweet.
Excerpt:
The sunlight sparkled like diamonds against the drops of water that beaded across Grant’s broad chest and raced along the cuts and dips between his washboard abs. His dark blue board shorts, soaked and clinging to his equally muscled thighs, hung low on his hips. A thin trail of golden curls raced between the hard lines of his narrow hips, disappearing beneath his waistband. Only a blind woman would miss the outline of his perfectly defined erection. Holy sin on a stick, he is packing.
His arms and legs moved with the grace of a jungle cat stalking its prey, the tight strands of muscles bunching and stretching beneath his skin with every step. His right hand was wrapped tight around the black grip of a pistol, the thick tendons in his wrist flexing as he tightened and loosened his grip. She followed the ripple of movement to his rounded shoulder, his neck, and then up to the chiseled lines of his face. Her lungs seized with feminine lust, mixed with a healthy dose of fear as she locked eyes with the lethal beast inside him. He’s going to kill me.
The fire in Grant’s eyes blazed with a heat as tangible as the sun’s rays beating relentlessly against her skin. She didn’t know the first thing about this man, other than the fact that he was dangerous and locked onto her like a fast moving freight train. He hadn’t hurt her yet, but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t kill her. Still, she couldn’t make herself move or even look away. Something inside her was drawn to the beast residing within the man; to the absolute power and strength that wrecked her senses.
Paralyzed, she was powerless to resist as his hard, lean body crashed into hers, trapping her against his hot, wet skin. His hands tangled in her hair, his desperate grip holding her captive to his assault, his lips crushing against hers with frantic need.
