Blog Tour: Reaper's Legacy by Joanna Wylde

Synopsis:

WELCOME TO THE CLUB

Eight years ago, Sophie gave her heart—and her virginity—to Zach Barrett on a night that couldn’t have been less romantic or more embarrassing. Zach’s step-brother, a steely-muscled, tattooed biker named Ruger, caught them in the act, getting a peep show of Sophie he’s never forgotten.

She may have lost her dignity that fateful night, but Sophie also gained something precious—her son Noah. Unfortunately, Zach’s a deadbeat dad, leaving Ruger to be Noah’s only male role model. When he discovers Sophie and his nephew living in near poverty, Ruger takes matters into his own hands—with the help of the Reapers Motorcycle Club—to give them a better life.

Living with outlaw bikers wasn’t Sophie’s plan for her son, but Ruger isn’t giving her a choice. He’ll be there for Noah, whether she wants him or not. But Sophie does want him, has always wanted him. Now she’ll learn that taking a biker to bed can get a girl dirty in every way…

Review:

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!  I definitely love the tattooed, bad boy, bikers, but I wasn't sure how I could love anyone more than Horse, I mean, really, Reaper's Property was THAT good.  But Joanna hit another home run with Ruger!

Ruger is rough and tough, and has been in love with Sophie for so long.  But he is not willing to change his ways.  He wants her and Noah in his life, but also not willing to change his bad boy ways.  He is hardheaded, dominant, filthy mouthed (that I loved!),  dangerous, loyal to his MC,  and thinks he can just walk in and tell Sophie how it will be.  He is in for a big surprise!!! The only time you ever see a softer side of him is in his relationship with Noah.  He has loved that boy since his birth and would do anything for him.  Though he also has some secret sweetness as seen with the symbolism of his tattoos.  You often wanted to scream at him one minute and then were melting the next.

I absolutely loved Sophie.  She desperately wants Ruger and has for years, but wants ALL of him.  And she is not going to settle for less, no matter how hot the sex is!  I loved her character.  She stood up to him, submitted to him, fought against him, and fought for herself.  She was strong, feisty, scared, but determined to make a better life for her and her son. I was impressed with how her character was written and how you see her growth. Her experiences  and the decisions she makes impacts and changes her views of the world, the MC,  Ruger and herself, yet she still never falters from her core beliefs, but can see how things are not always black and white. She was a character you could respect, understand and sympathize with in her struggles to be a Mom, friend, lover and still find her own place in the world.

The journey of Sophie's adjustment to being around a MC and all that it involved, Ruger's adjustment to realizing his true feelings for her and truly understanding what he wants was perfect. I loved that even though they both had been wanting each other for years, their relationship as a couple was a gradual process with obstacles that they had to work through, each at their own pace.  Their story was perfect: HOT, frustrating, an element of danger, fighting, compromising, HOT, passionate, emotional, scary, sizzling, and, did I mention HOT!!!  Joanna's books always have depth as well as the (very) high steaminess factor which is just the perfect combination. -Tynna

  1. My favorite thing about theReaper MC Books is the gruffness all heros have. You can't have a biker book without it
