Synopsis:
Ryan West learned at an early age that forever is never promised. Here are a few facts about myself:
1. I have read thousands of books in my lifetime.
2. I sometimes find it difficult to form an emotional attachment to characters in a book.
3. I can count on ONE HAND the amount of times that a book has brought me to tears.
4. MJ Carnal has delivered an emotion packed, sobbing, can't catch my breath through my tears, emotional roller coaster of a book.
I seriously don't know what to write in this review that would adequately express exactly how I felt as I read this book. I am still in shock as to my reaction when reading 'Taming the Playboy'. I absolutely loved the characters of Layla and Ryan when they were introduced in the first book 'Taming the Bachelor'. I thought that they had chemistry back then, but nothing compared me for what I was going to discover in this awesome read!
I never imagined the emotional ups and downs that I was going to experience as I started this book. I don't want to divulge any of the storyline, but suffice it to say, I started the book at 3 am and was hysterically crying until the very end. I read it from front to back in one sitting. After I finished, I took a deep breath, wiped the tears from my face, hugged my Kindle to my chest, and secretly hoped for more of the story! What a journey! Ok MJ, bring it on......I am ready for some more!!! - Kelly

An amazingly well written and emotionally gripping story. I honestly could not put this book down. I read it in one sitting and was crying through the whole last half of the book (and you can ask any of my friends, I am not a crier).
I loved, loved, loved Ryan and Layla. He was definitely the playboy in the first book "Taming the Bachelor", however, when he fell for Layla, he fell hard. The two of them together was hot!
He became just the perfect guy until tragedy struck for the group, as well as, for Ryan individually. Have a box of tissues handy with this book, and be prepared for the journey of a lifetime with Ryan and Layla and the rest of their friends. I know I'm not giving a lot of details, but I don't want to chance spoiling it for anyone. Suffice it to say, I cannot express how highly I would recommend this book. -Tynna
